Quitting… or Planning Before Quitting
Nov 10, 2025We all know that moment.
You’ve been showing up, giving your best, and working hard, yet you feel stuck, overlooked, and undervalued. The spark that once drove you has dimmed to a flicker. You start imagining what it would feel like to walk away, close the door behind you, and start fresh somewhere new.
And sometimes, that truly is the right move.
But before you hand in that resignation, here is something to consider:
The grass may look greener on the other side—but have you watered the grass you are standing on?
Frustration can make us want to run. But clarity is what helps us move forward. Before you quit, pause and ask yourself:
- Have I clearly communicated my needs?
- Have I sought opportunities to grow where I am?
- Have I been honest about what is within my control?
- Have I given my best effort to create change before leaving?
This is not about staying in a situation that drains you. It is about leaving from a place of power, not exhaustion. If you go without first tending to your own ground, the same weeds will likely follow you to the next field.
When you leave with clarity, you carry your confidence with you. You are not escaping—you are stepping forward with intention. And that difference changes everything.
So before you quit, give yourself the gift of one last investment where you stand. It may surprise you. Or it may confirm that it is time to plant yourself somewhere new. Either way, you walk away stronger.
Hint: This applies to a job, a relationship, a move, spending money, and more.
Discernment. Clarity. Certainty.
